Ingredients

  • 3 pieces Bananas
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons Cacao Powder Raw, adds chocolate flavor
  • 2 drops Liquid Stevia
  • 3 ounces Water
  • 1/4 cup Cacao Nibs Raw, crunchy topping
  • 1/4 cup Goji Berries Raw, nutritious topping

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Start by peeling two of the bananas and inserting a stick into each one. This is an exciting step for the kids as they can help out. Once they’re ready, place them on a plate and pop them in the freezer. You want them to be frozen but not completely solid, so about one to two hours should do the trick.
  2. Meanwhile, take the last banana and slice it into smaller pieces. Add the banana pieces to a blender along with the cacao powder, stevia, and water. Blend everything until you achieve a creamy consistency similar to chocolate syrup. The vibrant color should be inviting!
  3. Once your frozen bananas are ready, remove them from the freezer. Dip each frozen banana into the creamy chocolate mixture you just blended. Make sure to coat them evenly. This step adds a luxurious chocolatey flavor that you won’t be able to resist.
  4. After dipping, it’s time to add the fun toppings! Roll the coated banana in a plate filled with cacao nibs and goji berries. This not only adds a delightful crunch but also enhances the nutritional profile of your pops.
  5. Once they’re fully coated, return the pops to the freezer for another 30 minutes. This will help the chocolate coating set perfectly, making them easy to enjoy without a mess.
  6. Finally, once the time is up, take your Superfood Banana Pops out of the freezer and serve immediately! They are best enjoyed straight away while they’re still nice and cold. You can also cut them into smaller pieces for little hands.

Notes

For best results, always use ripe bananas for a sweeter taste. Enjoy your pops immediately for the best texture, or store them in an airtight container for later!
