Method
- Peel 2 medium sweet potatoes.
- Slice into long strips 1/4 inch wide.
- In a medium size bowl add the sweet potatoes, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Toss to coat.
- Add the sweet potatoes to the basket of an air fryer in a single layer.
- Cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 14 minutes, tossing the fries halfway through.
Notes
- Tip 1: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
- Tip 2: You can freeze the uncooked sweet potato fries. Just toss them in a bit of oil and freeze in a single layer before transferring to a bag.
- Tip 3: These fries pair wonderfully with grilled chicken, burgers, or as a side to a fresh salad.
- Tip 4: Experiment with different spices like paprika for a smoky flavor, or garlic powder for an extra kick.
- Tip 5: Try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon and a touch of sugar for a sweeter dessert-like fry.
