Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter your choice; crunchy or smooth
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1-2 cups mini chocolate chips

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter. Using either a hand mixer or a stand mixer, blend these ingredients together until they are smooth and well combined.
  2. Once your mixture is smooth, add the vanilla extract and continue mixing until thoroughly blended.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, about half a cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Now, it's time to fold in the peanut butter chips. Use a spatula to gently mix them in.
  5. Using your hands, shape the mixture into a ball. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap to keep its shape.
  6. Place the wrapped ball into a bowl to support it and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours or overnight.
  7. When you're ready to serve, take the cheese ball out of the fridge. Let it sit at room temperature for about thirty minutes.
  8. Spread the mini chocolate chips out on a plate. Unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the chocolate chips.
  9. Transfer the coated cheese ball to a serving platter. It’s best served at room temperature, so if you chilled it, let it sit out for a bit before serving.
  10. Enjoy your delicious Peanut Butter Cheese Ball Dip with friends and family!
