Method
- Add all the ingredients except for the chicken to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Place chicken and sauce into a bag and press out all the air. Marinate for at least 2 hours, up to 24 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place chicken on a rack on top of a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, and make sure to save the marinade.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, baste the chicken with the marinade and flip. Cook for another 10 to 15 minutes, until chicken is brown and crispy.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
- Freezing: You can freeze the marinated chicken before cooking. Just thaw it in the fridge before baking.
- Pairing: Serve it alongside rice, fries, or a refreshing salad to complement the spicy chicken.
- Spice Adjustments: You can reduce the number of chilis for a milder dish or add extra for a spicier kick.
- Grilling Option: For a smoky flavor, consider grilling the chicken instead of baking it. Just watch the cooking time closely!
- Vegetarian Adaptation: Substitute chicken with firm tofu or vegetables for a delicious vegetarian version.
