Method
- Spray the crockpot liner with non-stick spray. Place the chicken in the crockpot and season with black pepper.
- In a small bowl, cream together the cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and dressing mix. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
- Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high heat for 4 hours. When the cooking time is up, carefully shred the chicken with two forks and mix it into the gravy in the crockpot.
- Prepare the noodles according to package directions and serve the chicken mixture over the prepared noodles.
Notes
- Add vegetables: Add vegetables like peas or broccoli during the last hour of cooking to make it an entire meal!
- Use crockpot spray: Spray your crockpot with cooking spray before adding the chicken to make clean-up easier!
- Substitute chicken: Substitute boneless, skinless chicken thighs for the boneless, skinless chicken breasts or use a mix of both.
- Season wisely: I don’t add any extra salt to this recipe because the soup I use has enough. Remember, you can always add more salt, but it’s hard to take it out, so season at the end!
- Alternate pasta: We love egg noodles, but you can substitute your favorite pasta shape or serve it over cooked brown or white rice.
