Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 6 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup Sriracha sauce
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Meat Pounder
  • Grilling Tongs
  • Cast Iron Grill Pan

Method

  1. Start by placing the chicken in a ziplock bag. Using a meat pounder, pound the chicken to an even thickness. This ensures that it cooks evenly and remains juicy throughout.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, Sriracha sauce, salt, and black pepper. This blend will create a flavorful marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken in the ziplock bag, ensuring that each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible. This marinating process allows the chicken to absorb all the delicious flavors.
  4. When you’re ready to cook, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for approximately 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning, turning as needed to achieve those perfect grill marks.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This resting time allows the juices to redistribute, making each bite tender and juicy.

Notes

  • Tip 1: You can use this marinade on any cut of chicken– chicken breasts, chicken tenders, chicken thighs, or chicken wings.
  • Tip 2: Adjust the cooking time to ensure an internal temperature of 165ºF.
  • Tip 3: I suggest pounding the chicken breast to an even thickness for even cooking.
  • Tip 4: If you don’t have a grill, you can pan-sear the chicken in a skillet.
  • Tip 5: To store leftovers, use an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
