  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cups Butter
  • 0.33 cups Honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 cups Chopped pecan pieces

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Skillet
  • Oven
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Chef's Knife

Method

  1. Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces. Place in a medium bowl and pour buttermilk on top. Refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours.
  2. Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne in a shallow bowl.
  3. Drain off buttermilk from chicken and toss chicken pieces in flour mixture to coat. Let chicken pieces sit for 20 minutes.
