Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil divided
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup chili crisp
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 3 green onions diced, thinly sliced

Equipment

  • Cutting Board
  • Skillet
  • Whisk
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Chef's Knife
  • Frying pan
  • Wooden Spoon

Method

  1. Cut chicken into 1-2 inch pieces. Then in a bowl or zip top bag add the chicken, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, lime juice, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated in the mixture.
  2. To make the sweet chili crisp sauce, whisk together chili crisp, honey, and lime juice. Set aside until chicken is done.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the pan. Place the chicken in the pan and let cook without stirring for 3-4 minutes, then stir the chicken bites and cook another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour the sweet chili crisp sauce over the chicken and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until chicken is done, then remove from heat.
  5. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions and serve warm.
