- In a deep sided skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking into small pieces, until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the onion, green pepper, and celery and cook until tender, about 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Toast the buns and melt cheese on one side of the buns.
- Load the sloppy joe mix onto the buns and serve with pickles and potato chips.
