Ingredients

  • 9 cups sightly salted popcorn
  • 1 12-ounce bag white chocolate melting wafers
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 1 10-ounce bag holiday M&M’s
  • Christmas sprinkles optional

Equipment

  • Sheet pan (15" x 10")

Method

  1. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil. Set aside.
  2. Pop the popcorn according to package directions. Remove any un-popped kernels by pouring popcorn over a wire cooling rack.
  3. Pour M&M’s on top of popcorn.
  4. Combine chocolate melts with oil and melt in the microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring between each burst, until completely smooth.
  5. Pour melted chocolate over popcorn and M&M’s and stir with a spatula until well combined and coated.
  6. Pour coated popcorn on the prepared baking sheet and spread in an even layer.
  7. Add sprinkles on top and let set at room temperature.
  8. Gently break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • Tip 1: Purchasing pre-popped popcorn makes this recipe simple, but if you’d rather pop your own, here’s what I use: You can also use 1/2 cup kernels, but be sure to add a touch of salt.
  • Tip 2: When popcorn is coated in chocolate, it softens. I like storing it in a big freezer bag in the freezer and enjoying it straight from there!
