- 1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- 2. Spread the pesto generously on the cut side of the ciabatta bread. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- 3. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake the bread for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until it’s golden and toasted. Keep an eye on it; the aroma will be heavenly!
- 4. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the heirloom cherry tomatoes with the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, oregano, and garlic. Season the mixture with flaky sea salt and fresh pepper to taste, tossing everything together until well mixed.
- 5. Once the bread is done, take it out of the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. This step is essential for preventing burns from the molten burrata.
- 6. Carefully break the balls of burrata cheese over the toasted bread, spreading it evenly across the surface.
- 7. Top the bread with the prepared tomato mixture, ensuring an even distribution.
- 8. Finish off the dish with a sprinkle of fresh basil if you have it on hand, and a final seasoning of flaky salt.
- 9. Enjoy your creation warm, sharing it among friends or savoring it on your own.
