Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Okra
  • 3/4 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200C/400F.
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing together the cornmeal, flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a shallow bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the beaten egg and milk.
  4. Dip each okra slice into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
  5. Then, dredge the okra in the cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks well.
  6. Add the breaded okra to a greased air fryer basket and air fry for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Once done, carefully remove the okra from the basket.
  8. Serve immediately while hot for the best texture and flavor.

  • Storage: Leftover air-fried okra can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • Freezing: Allow the remaining okra to cool completely, then freeze in freezer-safe containers for up to three months.
